Special Education Teacher Full-Time Opportunities | Diverse Caseloads | Exceptional Support | 2026–2027 School Year Looking for a Special Education teaching position that matches your experience, interests, and preferred student population? Boothby Therapy Services is actively hiring Special Education Teachers throughout Vermont for the 2026–2027 school year. We partner with school districts across the state and have opportunities available in: Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Special Education, Middle School Special Education, High School Special Education, Resource Room Programs, Self-Contained Classrooms, Life Skills Programs, Behavioral Support Programs, Autism Support Programs, Inclusive Education Settings. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (required)
  • Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification or eligibility
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • We welcome both experienced educators and those new to the field who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in special education settings preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
  • Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
  • Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities
  • Foster inclusive, supportive learning environments that promote student success
