About The Position

Sage Connections is hiring a full-time, W-2 Special Education Teacher to provide onsite, school-based services for students in grades K–12 during the 2026–2027 school year. Multiple caseloads are available, including elementary and middle school options. The position is listed with a start date of ASAP and an end date of June 2027. The teacher will provide specially designed instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals, develop and implement individualized education plans, collaborate with general education teachers and support staff, and adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse learning needs. The role also includes maintaining documentation, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance, leading and participating in IEP meetings, and communicating regularly with families. Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field.
Certification as a Special Education teacher in Massachusetts.
Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
Familiarity with special education assessment tools.
Knowledge of curriculum design and development.
Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and MCAS alternative assessments.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the provision of special education and the special education process.
