About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in Addison, Illinois. In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed. You’ll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position covering maternity leave for the 2026-2027 school year, specifically from August 12th, 2026, through November 8th, 2026. The position is located at Indian Trail Junior High with Addison School District, focusing on teaching facilitated and instructional math to 7th-grade students.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois State teaching license (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
