The LOMS Special Education Teacher SSE is responsible for educating all students substantially and effectively by demonstrating professional leadership, assessing and communicating learning results, demonstrating knowledge of content, reflecting on teaching and learning, designing and planning instruction, collaborating with colleagues, parents, and others, creating and maintaining a learning climate, engaging in professional development, implementing and managing instruction, and demonstrating the implementation of technology. This role involves adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, and administrative guidelines set by the Board of Education and the School SBDM Council. The teacher will maintain accurate records, guide the learning process towards curriculum goals, establish clear objectives, and prepare for assigned classes. A key aspect of the role is creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for student maturity and interests. The teacher will also take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities, and be available for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when needed. Continuous professional improvement, collaboration, and promotion of positive public relations are expected. The teacher must maintain regular attendance, incorporate technology, and adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
