Special Education Resource Teacher - 1.0 FTE. This position is for the beginning of the 2026-27 school year, with an application deadline of May 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The role involves teaching the curriculum of Independent School District 196, developing and demonstrating culturally responsive practices for equitable outcomes, and proactively supporting students with emotional regulation difficulties. The teacher will provide instruction in social-emotional skills, utilize assistive technology, employ high expectations with varied instructional techniques, and collaborate with others to support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. The position also requires advocating for students with disabilities to ensure high achievement and promoting strong communication with staff, parents, and other professionals, while carrying out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.
