Special Education Resource Teacher - 1.0 FTE. This position is for the beginning of the 2026-27 school year. The role involves teaching the curriculum of Independent School District 196, developing and demonstrating culturally responsive practices for equitable outcomes, and proactively supporting students with emotional regulation difficulties. The teacher will provide instruction in social-emotional skills, demonstrate knowledge of assistive technology, and employ high expectations using various instructional techniques. Collaboration with colleagues to support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment, advocating for students with disabilities to ensure high achievement, and promoting strong communication with staff, parents, and other professionals are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities are defined by the master contract.
