This position is for a Special Education Teacher focusing on Inclusion. The role involves planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students, supervising them in various school-related settings, and monitoring their outcomes. The teacher will develop and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students, fostering an environment conducive to their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. A key aspect of the role includes case management, which involves preparing and maintaining data collection records and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), while adhering to special education legal procedures and guidelines outlined in IDEA and COMAR, as well as policies from the Charles County Board of Education and the Charles County Department of Instruction and Special Education. The teacher is also responsible for monitoring the appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities, maintaining regular attendance, and serving on committees. The position operates on a 10.5-month contract and is exempt.
