Resource Specialists are responsible to the Director of Special Education and the site administrator. Resource Specialists provide direct instruction to and coordinate the instructional programs for students with exceptional needs enrolled in the resource specialist programs at each school.

  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mod/Severe

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction to students with exceptional needs.
  • Coordinate instructional programs for students with exceptional needs enrolled in resource specialist programs.

  • Master's degree or National Board Certification = $1879 additional yearly pay
  • Master's degree and National Board Certification or Doctorate= $1879 additional yearly pay
  • Separate Salary Schedule for Special Education teachers (additional 10% compared to classroom teachers)
  • 95 hours of flexible work time outside of duty day for caseload management
  • 3 release days per school year for assessment and report writing for SDC teachers
