This is a 10-month position for a Special Education Teacher Assistant in a Secondary Adapted program. Candidates hired for this role are required to be on the RCPS approved driving list. The position requires the ability to develop and maintain an empathetic attitude toward disabled students, work cooperatively with others, and be willing to learn specialized instructional/management techniques. The role also requires willingness to seek and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED)/First Aid certification, and the ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
