About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking Special Education Substitute Teachers in Philadelphia, PA, for the 2026-27 school year. This role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn up to $216 per day, and make a significant impact on students' lives. Kokua Education aims to place positive role models in classrooms who inspire a love for learning. The position provides weekly paychecks, a path to full-time employment, and the opportunity to teach in K-12 schools across the Philadelphia area. Support is available daily from 6 am to 8 pm. The role also emphasizes adding representation in classrooms by allowing children to learn from diverse experiences.

Requirements

Completed a Bachelor's Degree.
At least 6 months working with students in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
Confident managing a classroom of students.
Willing to step in where needed (lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, proctoring).
Pass state & federal background checks.
Able to commute to North Philly.
