About The Position
Kokua is seeking dedicated individuals to become special education substitute teachers in D.C. for the 2025-26 school year. The role involves making a positive impact on students' lives by empowering them and helping them realize their potential. Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or 60+ credit hours
- 1+ year(s) working with students
- Confidence to manage a classroom of students
- Ability to pass state & federal background check
- Completion of required employment history review and SSOA training, in compliance with D.C. law
- Strong belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a special education setting preferred
- Preference given to candidates willing to accept morning-of assignments
