About The Position

This is a Paraprofessional/ SPED Self Contained Instructional Aide position at Frank Macias Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is available for the 2026-2027 School Year and closes on 09/14/2026 at Noon. The salary is a daily rate of $117.20 - $142.08 for 187 work days, with 8 hours per day.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) or Associate's degree (or higher)
• Must apply and obtain a Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (upon hire)
• Minimum of (1) year experience working with students

Responsibilities

• Must be able to lift 50-150 pounds
• Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with parents, co-workers, and students
• Ability to work well with children with disabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work well under supervision
• Ability to use computer and be familiar with word, excel, access, and e-mail systems
