About The Position

The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for a special education paraprofessional in the pre-k program (3, 4 & 5 year olds) for the 2026-2027 school year. This role assists the teacher in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements, working under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Requirements

• Pass a national criminal background check and a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry
• High school diploma or GED
• A minimum of 60 college hours/Associate's degree
• Hold a current CDA
• Ability to work well with children
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Patient and calm demeanor with students and others
• Basic academic skills

Nice To Haves

• Some experience working with children in an instructional setting

Responsibilities
