About The Position
Two positions are available at IHS for a Special Education Paraprofessional. This role requires the ability to relate well with staff and students, follow instructions, and treat all students with compassion and understanding. The ideal candidate will have experience and motivation to work with students with disabilities and/or health impairments. Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, bend, twist, move quickly, and assist with daily living needs such as feeding and toileting is also required.
Requirements
- High School graduate
- Ability to relate with staff/students
- Ability to follow instructions
- Compassion and understanding towards students
- Experience and motivation to work with students with disabilities and/or health impairments
- Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, bend, twist, move quickly
- Ability to provide physical assistance with daily living needs (e.g., feeding, toileting)
