About The Position

This position involves assisting classroom teachers and/or special education teachers in implementing accommodations and modifications for students requiring support at Craneville Elementary School. The role includes collecting data on student progress, collaborating with staff on behavioral intervention plans, and supporting student independence. The hours will be assigned by the principal.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience with students with disabilities required
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Experience working with students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to follow teacher direction
• Requires patience and flexibility
• Ability to interact and take direction from a variety of professionals

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree preferred
• Experience working with elementary age students desirable
• First Aid/CPR certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher and/or special education teacher in implementing accommodations and/or modifications for students requiring such supports.
• Assist general and special education teachers in collecting data on student progress.
• Collaborate with other staff in implementing behavioral intervention plans, as needed.
• Support student independence through the acquisition of skills and strategies.
• Other duties may be assigned by the building principal or superintendent.
