About The Position

Cross Country Education is hiring a Paraprofessional in Chippewa, Michigan, to provide classroom support throughout the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through instructional and behavioral assistance in individual or small-group settings. The paraprofessional assists classroom teachers with lesson plans, classroom activities, and student support strategies, and helps students with daily learning activities, communication, organization, and skill development while adapting support to individual needs. The role fosters a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that encourages student engagement and independence. The position offers $23.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications, weekly pay, a completion bonus, and possible additional bonuses and incentives. The schedule is 31 hours per week, with weekends and school holidays off and paid sick leave.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with students in an educational setting.
Ability to meet state and district paraprofessional requirements.

Nice To Haves

Completion of at least 60 college credit hours, or successful completion of the WorkKeys or ETS ParaPro Assessment.
