About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating Special Education Medicaid compliance. The role involves ensuring adherence to IDEA regulations, managing IEP processes, and understanding evaluations and related services. A key aspect is knowledge of the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI) and Medicaid reimbursement processes, or similar state/federal compliance and funding programs. The coordinator will utilize data management systems, NJSLEDS, SID Management, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and record management. Responsibilities include preparing documentation for audits, grants, compliance monitoring, and state/federal reporting. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for managing multiple priorities and improving operational efficiency and accountability. Knowledge of Special Education programs and supports as outlined in N.J.A.C. Title 6A:14 is required. This position is pending budget availability and is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Special Education programs.
  • Knowledge of IDEA compliance, IEP processes, evaluations, and related services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI), Medicaid reimbursement processes, or similar state/federal compliance and funding programs.
  • Strong experience with data management systems, NJSLEDS, SID Management, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, reporting systems, and electronic record management.
  • Experience preparing documentation for audits, grants, compliance monitoring, and state or federal reporting requirements.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, contracts, and compliance-related activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presentations, correspondence, and communicating with administrators, schools, and external agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement procedures that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and accountability.
  • Knowledge of Special Education programs and supports as outlined in N.J.A.C. Title 6A:14.
