Requirements
- Deep understanding of special education laws, including the April Dunn Act of Louisiana
- Proficiency in using the School-Based Leadership Council (SBLC) framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data to assess student needs and successes
- Problem-solving skills
- Innovative mindset
- Commitment to accountability and integrity
- Must undergo comprehensive background checks
- Must comply with any specific background screening procedures or requirements mandated by the state(s) in which they will be providing services
Responsibilities
- Observing and evaluating classroom instruction
- Providing constructive feedback to teachers
- Facilitating professional development workshops to enhance instructional practices
- Collaborating closely with educators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Implementing effective strategies that cater to the unique needs of students
- Active participation in team meetings
- Analyzing student performance data to assess progress and inform instructional decisions
- Addressing specific challenges faced by teachers and students alike
