About The Position

This role is for a Special Education Interventionist for the Elementary School level for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is based in NYC and requires travel to KIPP NYC schools. KIPP NYC Public Schools is a network of free, public charter schools committed to creating joyful, academically excellent schools where every child can create the future they want. Requirements

  • New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Lead small-group instruction for grades K-4.
  • Teach a rigorous academic curriculum that combines the school’s standards and the New York State standards.
  • Teach students in a high-quality, exciting way.
  • Commit to constant professional and personal growth through working closely as part of a team of teachers.
  • Constantly assess student progress and communicate results to families and colleagues.
  • Provide individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance.
  • Model a “whatever it takes” spirit to ensure that each student is successful.
  • Model the school’s values in all communications with students, families, and staff.
