About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled special education teacher for the 2027–2028 school year. This full-time position begins in August 2027. Grade level and setting will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and school needs. May 2027 graduates are encouraged to apply. Informal meet-and-greet interviews will be held at the end of January. Candidates should indicate their special education certification area(s) and any specialized training or experience.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in special education, or certification in process for May 2027 graduates.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and accommodations or modifications.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and student advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct instruction and support in various settings.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development.
