About The Position

This position involves working with students throughout the day, assisting them with behavior and academics. The role requires refocusing students in the classroom, de-escalating negative behavior, recognizing and acknowledging positive behavior, and working cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff. The goal is to increase independence in children. Other duties may be assigned by the supervising teacher. See the job description for additional information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Passed ParaPro/Para Educator testing (or 60 college credits)
  • Successful background check required.
