About The Position

Attleboro Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Inclusion Teacher for Studley Elementary School (K-4) for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves collaborative work between general and special education staff to ensure student access to the general education curriculum. Services are delivered through various models including co-teaching, push-in, small group, 1:1, and pull-out. The primary goal is to ensure students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, and to provide support through MTSS to benefit all students.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)
  • Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

  • Addresses the needs of diverse learners in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Administers assessments, interprets evaluations, and writes reports.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrates findings with other disciplines, provides recommendations and develops Individual Education Programs (IEPs) based on TEAM recommendations.
  • Collaborates with TEAM members to implement specially designed instruction to support educational and social-emotional behavioral needs in accordance with student’s IEP.
  • Collaborates with the TEAM to determine and implement appropriate accommodations for classroom assessments and standardized examinations for special education students.
  • Completes all assigned paperwork for the special education process as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Provides targeted and evidence-based interventions.
  • Fulfills all case management responsibilities associated with the IEP.
  • Maintains accurate, complete and confidential student records.
  • Involvement at the community, system, building and student levels for school-wide initiatives such as social-emotional learning, Universal Design, assistive technology and program development.
  • Serves as a resource to develop effective teaching strategies for all students.
  • Responsible for annual reviews, written progress notes, parent/teacher conferences and proctoring state assessments.
  • Uses evidence-based research and continuing education to address MA frameworks and to meet licensure requirements.
  • Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee.

  • Salary range: $64,004 - $108,744 (FY26)
