About The Position

The Special Education Essential Skills Instructional Assistant will support students with special needs by assisting with IEP goals, providing instruction, and supervising students. This role requires a high level of physical and mental endurance, with duties including computer tasks, frequent standing and walking, and communication with colleagues and students. The position is located at Central Elementary School.

  • Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision
  • Ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time

Nice To Haves
