Special Education English Teacher (R1)
About The Position
Port Angeles High School is seeking a candidate for a high school Special Education Resource 1 Teacher. This is a full-time, 7.5 hours per day, teaching 6 sections each semester that may include modified English, transitional reading, behavior skills, learning strategies and/or employment skills. Under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education, the Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows State mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Case Manager to assigned students.
