About The Position

DC Prep is hiring a full-time, 10-month 8th grade Special Education ELA Teacher in Washington, DC, starting immediately. The teacher will support students’ academic and social-emotional development through rigorous, standards-based instruction, inclusion, small-group or one-on-one support, and targeted interventions tailored to student needs and assessment data. Additional duties include instructional clerical work, student supervision, and participation in events such as field trips, after-school events, family-teacher conferences, and home visits as needed. The position involves working in active school environments and meeting the physical demands described in the posting.
