About The Position

Partnership Academy is seeking a Due Process Coordinator to provide clerical support for the special education process. This role involves scheduling meetings, tracking due process dates, disseminating information to parents, preparing and managing student special education files, and maintaining parental consent forms. The position requires initiative, innovation, and knowledge of MN criteria and RTI intervention processes. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with special education rules and supporting both elementary and middle school coordinators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Minnesota special education teaching license
  • Experience working with K-8 students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of Minnesota Disability Criteria
  • Knowledge of RTI Referral process
  • Evaluation experience
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Experience with special education compliance and documentation
  • Proficiency with data management systems
  • Experience with the Spedforms platform

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate IEP meetings across K-8, ensuring proper procedures and timelines
  • Creation/updating of special education electronic documents (special education workbook, evaluation folders, special education resources)
  • Oversee special education documentation and compliance requirements
  • Filing
  • Transfer of records
  • Progress Monitoring
  • Evaluations
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for special education meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Minnesota Rule 3525 (Special Education Rules)
  • Coordinate with district special education leadership and outside agencies
  • Maintain accurate records and data systems
  • MARSS data reporting
  • Completion and transfer of Tuition Acknowledgement Forms to resident districts
  • Support both elementary and middle school coordinators with compliance needs
  • Facilitate CST Meetings
  • Facilitate Case Manager/Provider Meetings
  • Ensure SPED paraprofessional/teacher sub coverage
  • Review of CST referrals and presentation to the team
  • Initial/Reevaluation evaluations (testing, write ups, coordinating meetings)
  • Attend SST meetings as required to support student problem solving
  • Coordinate necessary training for special education staff to be in compliance with MN law.
  • Training of special education teachers on due process
