A Special Education Case Manager is a state certified teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. This role involves providing instruction, support, and guidance, managing the learning process, and focusing on students’ individual needs as defined by each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). The Case Manager works actively with students and parents to advance each student’s learning and is also responsible for the compliance documents required in serving students with special needs. The Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA), a Stride K12 partner school, aims to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students through school and community/family partnerships, a rigorous curriculum, and a data-driven, student-centered instructional model. Student success is measured by assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and institutional growth. This is a full-time virtual position requiring the ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, and maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.
