About The Position

ATC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in a school setting. The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs and developmental disabilities. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
Valid state Special Education teaching certification or license appropriate for the assignment.
Background screening and additional clearances as required by the school district and applicable regulations.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom or educational setting preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
Familiarity with special education laws, regulations, and instructional practices.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary educational teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs.
Provide specialized instruction to students with intellectual, developmental, learning, and behavioral disabilities.
Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
Monitor and evaluate student progress toward academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and required documentation.
Collaborate with general education teachers, school administrators, therapists, and other educational professionals.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational needs.
Implement appropriate classroom management and positive behavioral support strategies.
Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Create a safe, structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Ensure compliance with applicable special education regulations, school policies, and educational standards.
