About The Position
This position is for a Special Education Teacher in Yorktown, responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents/guardians, and maintaining accurate student records. The role involves collaboration with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members. The teacher will monitor and assess student achievement and attend ongoing professional learning and meetings.
Requirements
- Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
- Knowledge of best instructional practices.
- Ability to integrate technology.
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Special Education endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
