About The Position
This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Escuela Key Elementary. The role involves implementing instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents/guardians, and maintaining complete and accurate student records. The teacher will also collaborate with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members, monitor and assess student achievement, and attend ongoing professional learning and meetings.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Special Education endorsement.
- Teaching experience in special education
- Knowledge of best instructional practices
- Ability to integrate technology
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership
- Bilingual preferred
