About The Position
This is a Special Education Program Assistant position that includes a stipend for Special Education Program Assistant (SEPA). The position is for 185 days per year, working 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. The hourly rate is $16.88 plus a $2.50/hr SEPA stipend. Excellent benefits are offered. More information about the SEPA stipend, which is added when special care is required for a student, will be shared by building administration.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold at least ONE of the following licenses through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE): Paraprofessional License (PARA), Short Term Approval for Paraprofessionals (STA), Substitute License (SUB), or Professional Educator License (PEL).
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance within the Special Education Program.
- Offer special care to students as required by the SEPA designation.
