About The Position

The Spec I Planner is responsible for maintaining material inventory at minimum/maximum levels by calculating demand, usage, and scrap. This role involves creating and sending forecasts and weekly releases to suppliers, as well as maintaining accurate data input into the integrated computer system to support material supply and demand. The planner will also be responsible for cycle counts for AS & SS divisions, assisting in identifying potential problems or abnormal conditions, and establishing countermeasures and corrective actions. Additionally, the Spec I Planner will develop, maintain, and audit Standard Work Instructions related to Raw Material Planning, determine the most cost-effective methods for inbound and expedited freight, and schedule inbound and outbound freight as necessary. Ensuring adherence to EMS/QMS procedures and performing other duties as assigned by supervision are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain material inventory at min / max levels by calculating demand, usage, & scrap.

  • Responsible for cycle counts for AS & SS divisions.
  • Responsible for assisting and identifying potential problems or abnormal conditions and establishing countermeasures and corrective action.
  • Develop, maintain and audit all required Standard Work Instructions that pertain to Raw Material Planning that support TGASK, ISO, IATF16949 and MMOG requirements.
  • Responsible for determining most cost effective method for inbound freight and expedite freight as required to support production.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound freight as necessary.
  • Ensure EMS / QMS procedures are followed in performance of job duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
