About The Position

AJ Tutoring is seeking passionate and energetic Spanish Tutors to join our professional 1-on-1 tutoring team in the Bay Area. We offer a supportive work environment in our centrally located offices, providing a great tutoring experience for students and their families. We have high standards for our tutors and provide extensive training and support in return. This role is ideal for individuals exploring a long-term career path in education or seeking professional growth.

Requirements

  • College graduate.
  • Master Spanish.
  • Expertise in a second academic subject at the high school level (Pre-algebra or algebra, Physics, Computer Science, English, History, Biology, or Chemistry).
  • Commitment to a minimum of 15 tutoring hours per week.
  • Ability to work through the end of the 2026/27 academic year.
  • Conscientious, punctual, reliable, and organized.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and efficient work ethic.
  • Team-oriented and coachable.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Passionate about education.
  • Experienced in working with students.
  • Background in education, coaching, youth leadership, camp counseling, mentoring, or the performing arts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 Spanish tutoring to students.
  • Tutor in a second academic subject at the high school level (Pre-algebra or algebra, Physics, Computer Science, English, History, Biology, or Chemistry).
  • Commit to a minimum of 15 tutoring hours per week.
  • Complete a few additional hours of administrative work per week.
  • Tutor during after-school hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Work at AJ Tutoring through the end of the 2026/27 academic year.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain organization and reliability.
