About The Position

Atlanta Classical Academy seeks a part-time Upper School Spanish Teacher. The Part Time Spanish Teacher would be responsible for teaching two sections of Spanish I and one section of Spanish IV. Teachers are responsible for the education of their students. They are expected to demonstrate high moral character and have mastery of the subjects they teach. Teachers will work collaboratively to create a working and learning environment for all students that is safe, secure, and respectful. This position reports to the Upper School Principal at ACA’s Atlanta campus.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Teaching three sections of Spanish classes in our high school program.
Providing an orderly teaching environment consistent with the Atlanta Classical’s core virtues.
Developing lesson plans and curricula aligned with the language department’s goals.
Creating a Spanish-immersion environment to the extent that it’s appropriate for student ability.
Assesses students regularly with both written and oral exams.
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required.
Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required.
Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required.
Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

About Atlanta Classical Academy:

Atlanta Classical Academy is an open-enrollment, public charter school open to students who reside within the Atlanta Public Schools district. The school opened in 2014 with grades K – 8, and has added a grade each year as students have advanced. It is now a K – 12 academy. The children of full-time employees have enrollment preference.
