About The Position

To provide an educational program that meets the educational needs of each student in the teacher’s area of responsibility. The teacher will provide instruction consistent with district and school expectations, communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and staff, and employ sound management practices for planning, record keeping, resource management, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Additionally, the teacher will ensure student safety, assume professional responsibilities, and implement district goals and objectives. This is a 0.50 FTE position for the 2026/2027 school year.

Requirements

• Single Subject: Social Science Credential
• Single Subject or Specific Supplementary Authorization: Foreign language: Spanish Credential

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction consistent with district and school expectations that meets the educational needs of all students assigned.
• Communicate with students, parents, administrators, and other staff members in a manner consistent with district and school expectations.
• Employ planning, record keeping, resource management, and learning environment management practices consistent with district and school expectations to maximize effectiveness.
• Provide student supervision to ensure student safety consistent with district and school expectations.
• Assume professional responsibilities in a manner that meets district and school expectations and ensures continued personal and professional growth.
• Implement district goals and objectives for certificated teachers as modified in the individual’s planning conference.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District/Livermore Education Association contract.
