About The Position

We are seeking a full time Spanish teacher to join our dedicated staff beginning at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school level Spanish and be familiar with the curriculum and requirements. Teachers may also be expected to serve as a homeroom mentor to a small group of students, fulfill out-of-classroom supervisory duties as assigned, and may also have the opportunity to moderate student clubs, organizations, or honor societies. In addition, they will be expected to participate in monthly department meetings and school wide events. Preston High School is an all-girls Catholic college preparatory school located in the Bronx, New York. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior teaching experience.
  • Must be able to utilize educational technology (Chromebooks, Google Classroom etc.) and incorporate these technologies into their classroom delivery and assignments.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to receive and implement feedback.
  • Skilled at communicating and working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • High school level languages teaching experience preferred.
