About The Position

Teach with Purpose: At KIPP Public Schools Northern California, our Spanish Teachers bring our academic and cultural visions to life. You will design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and create a classroom where every student learns and thrives. You will also integrate Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices to build a joyful, inclusive, and safe community. Collaborate and Grow: You will work closely with your school’s Leadership Team—including your Instructional Coach—to continuously strengthen your teaching practice. Through weekly meetings, coaching, and feedback, you will receive the support needed to grow as an educator and leader. Requirements

  • Ability to navigate school and classroom settings.
  • Ability to access and utilize technology.
  • Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute duties effectively, which may include kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, squatting, twisting, turning, bending, stooping and reaching overhead.
  • Stress of deadlines and normal work standards, ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives, work with interruptions, concentrate for long periods of time, read, calculate, perform routine math problems, memorize and recall objects and people.

Responsibilities

  • Daily lesson planning and long term planning using curriculum and resources to align with KIPP’s academic vision and goals.
  • Analyze data regularly to identify student academic trends and inform instructional practices.
  • Maintain a positive, warm, inclusive, rigorous, and engaging classroom environment that incorporates Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning.
  • Implement culturally responsive classroom management strategies to create a safe environment for all students to learn & achieve.
  • Communicate regularly with staff, students, families, and other key stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships.
  • Attend and engage in weekly Professional Development and other Communities of Practice to continue learning and growing as an educator.
  • Update student records regularly, including attendance, grades, behavior data, etc.
