About The Position

Christ Church is a non-denominational church in Phoenix, Arizona, with multiple congregations and a weekly attendance of over 4,500 people. They are defined by their focus on the glory of God, missional impact, and intentional outreach. Christ Church prioritizes transformation and life change, offering vibrant worship services, engaging programs for all ages, and opportunities for involvement. The Spanish Ministry Pastor for the Mesa Congregation will serve as the primary leader of Christ Church’s Spanish-speaking ministry at the Mesa location. This role involves delivering biblical preaching in Spanish, shepherding families, recruiting and equipping volunteers, and fostering full cultural integration with the broader Christ Church Mesa family. The pastor will work collaboratively with the Mesa campus pastoral leadership to ensure the Spanish ministry is seamlessly woven into the life, standards, and mission of Christ Church, avoiding an "us versus them" dynamic.

Requirements

Proven track record of ministry leadership, team building, and public preaching.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Clear, compelling expository preaching gift (demonstrating strong application and biblical clarity).
Ability to engage thoughtfully with people from various denominations and backgrounds and ground them in biblical theology.
Proven ability to rally, equip, and retain volunteers and lay leaders.
Married male meeting the qualifications of a pastor outlined in 1 Timothy 3.
Highly self-motivated, relationally intelligent, and collaborative ('Hungry, Humble, Smart').
Possesses high emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual stability to handle sensitive pastoral situations with wisdom and grace.
Thrives in a high-capacity, prayerful, and unapologetically driven kingdom culture marked by humor, transparency, and redeemed ambition.

Nice To Haves

Previous church staff experience is preferred.
Undergraduate degree preferred; formal seminary or theological training is a plus (or a commitment to pursue theological education).

Responsibilities

Deliver clear, expository, and application-driven sermons in Spanish during weekend gatherings.
Ensure the preaching and worship environment reflect the theological depth, energy, and excellence of Christ Church.
Lead weekend service execution while working collaboratively with Mesa campus pastoral leadership.
Work in partnership with pastoral leadership on message content and exposition.
Function as an accessible, relationally warm pastor who shepherds Spanish-speaking individuals and families.
Exercise high emotional maturity when navigating complex and sensitive situations, including immigration dynamics and pastoral support for families in crisis.
Wisely guide and disciple individuals coming from diverse background contexts into deep theological alignment with the doctrines of grace.
Recruit, train, coach, and multiply volunteer leaders and deacon teams.
Drive a culture of unity, ensuring the Spanish-speaking congregation is fully integrated with Christ Church Mesa.
Work collaboratively with central and campus ministry teams to align with church-wide initiatives and discipleship rhythms.
Manage and strengthen an established ministry.
