As a Medical Interpreter with Banner University Medical Center- Phoenix, you will be an important part of the healthcare team, providing English/Spanish interpretation services for patients/companions with limited English proficiency that we encounter throughout the hospital, including patient/provider communication. You will be involved during every aspect of the patient stay, from registration to discharge. Effective communications skills and knowledge of medical terminology is required. We have two shifts available: Part time evening shift; Wednesdays 3p-1130p, Thursdays 3p-1130p, Fridays 7p-330a, Saturdays 7p-330a Full time day shift: Thursdays 630a-3p, Every other Friday 630a-3p, Saturdays 630a-3p You will enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential as well as an 18% Night shift differential where applicable! POSITION SUMMARY This position provides interpretation for Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients and their families. This position acts as a neutral party in the role as a conduit of information between healthcare providers and patients and families.
