About The Position

Culmen International is seeking a bilingual Spanish Linguist/Translator to support operations in Tucson, Arizona. This is a talent pipeline requisition for future opportunities. Qualified candidates will be contacted when a position becomes available. The role involves providing Spanish-language simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings and operational coordination, as well as written translation and review of analytic, operational, and intelligence products. Interpretation support will be provided at the General/Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) level. Responsibilities include operating interpretation equipment, translating technical documents with military, intelligence, and law enforcement terminology, and maintaining engagement records and activity logs. The position also requires providing an Intelligence Specialist with expertise in intelligence plans, programs, and systems, with knowledge of CTOC operations, and assisting in the development of intelligence planning, systems architecture requirements, and training. A minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in Spanish reading and speaking, as measured by a recognized assessment, is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a college or university
• Experience in Spanish linguist/translator personnel who possess a minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent Government-recognized assessment.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide Spanish-language simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings and operational coordination.
• Provide written translation and review of analytic, operational, and intelligence products.
• Provide interpretation support at the General/Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) level.
• Operate Sennheiser (or equivalent) interpretation equipment.
• Translate technical documents containing military, intelligence, and law enforcement terminology.
• Maintain engagement records and translation/interpretation activity logs.
• Provide an Intelligence Specialist with the principal place of performance in Tucson, Arizona (JIATF-CC), to serve as SME, Intelligence Plans, Programs and Systems, with knowledge of CTOC operations.
• Assisting in the development of intelligence planning, intelligence systems architecture requirements, and intelligence training.
• Provide Spanish linguist/translator personnel who possess a minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent Government-recognized assessment. Documentation of proficiency shall be provided to the Government upon request.
