About The Position

Piedmont Global Language Solutions (PGLS) is seeking a Spanish Language Instructor to teach an intensive course for adult professionals. This is an onsite position in Minneapolis, MN, for a class starting on June 20, 2026. The class schedule is 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, starting in the morning. PGLS specializes in translation, interpretation, language instruction, language testing, and bilingual staffing. The company is committed to delivering multilingual solutions to promote equity, commerce, and security. This role is part of a significant government contract with a duration of five years, and PGLS is looking for language professionals to teach languages other than English to adult learners in a small classroom setting.

Requirements

  • Educated native or bilingual speaker of Spanish.
  • 2+ years of classroom experience teaching Spanish to adult English-speaking students.
  • 1+ year of teaching experience in a small-group classroom setting.
  • Must possess the cultural background of the country and geographical region (raised or educated in the country).
  • Familiarity with various computer platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting software (Zoom, Skype, MS Teams).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the ILR language levels and ILR-based proficiency assessment.
  • Ability to work remotely and provide required services from alternate locations via Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, WebEx, etc. at the direction of the Client.

Responsibilities

  • Teach an intensive Spanish language course to adult English-speaking students.
  • Provide instruction in a small-group classroom setting.
  • Assess student proficiency using ILR-based methods (highly desired).
  • Utilize various computer platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting software.
  • Work interculturally in a harmonious and professional manner.
