About The Position

LTC Language Solutions is seeking a qualified Spanish instructor to teach an adult student virtually. The student is a heritage speaker from Puerto Rico and specifically requested an instructor from Puerto Rico (though current residency there is not required). Classes will be conducted via Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet for one hour per week. This is a contract position with a maximum of 80 hours within a calendar year, and hours are not guaranteed. The curriculum will be tailored to the student's goals, with textbook materials provided in collaboration with the instructor.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of Spanish teaching experience.
• Instructor should be from Puerto Rico (current residency not required).
• Available between 12-3 pm on Thursdays for 1-hour classes.
• Ability to teach a high beginner-low intermediate level student.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching heritage speakers.
• Familiarity with curriculum development based on student goals.

Responsibilities

• Teach an adult student Spanish virtually for 1 hour per week.
