About The Position

Parsons is seeking an experienced Architectural AutoCAD Specialist with a desire to work on tough projects that will make a huge impact and change the urban fabric of our community. This role is part of a Technical Services (TS) program for an agency within the Department of War, involving the review of third-party A/E work, studies, analysis, testing, specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews, commissioning, and construction oversight. The ideal candidate will be versatile, enthusiastic, and possess exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills, thriving in a flexible, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Associated degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or a Construction related field (or equivalent degree) with at least 5 years of relevant experience (9 years without a degree).
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts.
  • Knowledge of architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Archibus, Smart Client, Vault preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the client’s Master Drawings files using AutoCAD.
  • Conduct Site Surveys to verify as-built conditions and incorporate them into the Master Drawings AutoCAD files.
  • Utilize software programs such as Archibus and Smart Client to support the client’s compliancy and occupant requirements.
  • Analyze space data sets, reports, and documents.
  • Create and maintain space management, AutoCAD, and various software SOP’s.
  • Track and organize facility changes to the AutoCAD data holdings.
  • Coordinate with facilities stakeholders, engineering and construction teams to ensure project data is of the quality required to support the Master Drawings files.
  • Perform AutoCAD projects and other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
