About The Position

The Structural Analyst will perform structural strength analysis for non-flight hardware in support of the Space Launch System (SLS) program and other new and existing programs at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The role develops formal stress analysis packages for ground support and special test equipment using strength-of-materials and finite element-based methods. It works with design engineers on preliminary designs, prepares reports and presentations for management, and collaborates with outside vendors and personnel from other NASA centers to develop structural hardware. The position is based in an office environment and involves frequent computer work, communication, and interaction with coworkers, management, and clients.
