About The Position

As a Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. This role involves translating requirements into robust system designs, decomposing end-to-end system requirements, and coordinating with development and integration teams. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on: Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
Experience with tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus.
