Requirements

High school diploma is required.
Certification from a state approved school of Cosmetology.
Must be adaptive to a changing work environment, as well as an evolving product and service line-up.
Must be flexible, demonstrate good organizational skills and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Artistic and design skills are required.
Patience, sensitivity, and confidentiality are essential.
Must be able to operate equipment specific to the assigned work unit, telephone system, copier cash register, credit card system, and have basic technology skills to allow efficient navigation of scheduling systems.
Cosmetology, Nail Technician, or Advanced Practice Esthetic license from the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologist Examiners (BCE).

Nice To Haves

Two years’ experience performing services as a licensed Cosmetologist, Nail Technician or Advanced Practice Esthetician preferred.
Post-secondary education is preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs professional nail and/or aesthetic services.
Demonstrates excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills.
Masters product and service knowledge, and trains on Mayo Clinic’s specific service offerings and protocols.
Provides beauty solutions and delivers superb customer service to patients and guests from diverse backgrounds.
Remains up to date on the latest nail, esthetic, and cosmetics trends.
Skilled in sales and retail tactics specific to the spa industry.
Comfortable meeting sales goals for services and retail products.
May assist with desk functions, operational support or work on special projects as delegated by management.
