About The Position

Everwild Nordic Spa & Hotel is seeking a passionate leader to join their team as a Spa Guest Services Manager in Canmore, Alberta. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading high-performing teams. The Spa Guest Services Manager will oversee the daily operations of the spa's front desk, concierge, and attendant teams, working closely with the Spa Manager to ensure seamless service and operational excellence. The position involves recruiting, coaching, and developing team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture, and embodying Everwild's commitment to empathy, professionalism, and excellence. The goal is to ensure every guest feels cared for and every team member feels inspired.

Requirements

  • Experience in spa, wellness, or hospitality leadership.
  • Experience managing teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent guest service and communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows – Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in the absence of the Spa Manager.
  • Lead the development of Everwild’s Spa concierge team.
  • Implement, train, and review front desk processes.
  • Uphold and evolve a ritual culture focused on mindfulness, theatricality, and guest wellness.
  • Regularly observe spa operations, gather guest feedback, and adjust operational flow as necessary.
  • Engage guests in meaningful pre- and post-ritual interactions.
  • Motivate and inspire Everwild spa team members to be genuine and thoughtful in every interaction.
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service and experience.
  • Ensure saunas and ritual spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
  • Coordinate with spa attendants and maintenance teams for fire safety, heat control, and essential repairs.
  • Ensure all spa tools and inventory are maintained and controlled.
  • Train staff in safety procedures for sauna environments, including fire risk management, emergency response, and temperature regulation.
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are in alignment with health guidelines.
  • Ensure safe and effective recording keeping of all personal data and information systems.
  • Deliver regular feedback, performance evaluations, and development opportunities for Spa Concierge/Spa Attendants.
  • Set clear expectations for daily operations, guest interactions, and team behavior.
  • Address any guest complaints or staff performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain records of spa management systems.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing program updates, staff development, safety compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings and collaborate with other spa department heads.
  • Participate in monthly forecast, budgeting, and marketing and operational guidance with the Spa Manager.
