About The Position

The Spa Attendant requires an individual who is energetic and service-oriented with an affinity for order and cleanliness. Their purpose is to guide the guest through their spa experience while ensuring all service and facility standards are met. The candidate must have prior experience in working with the public, and be enthusiastic, friendly, and accommodating.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to climb stairs regularly
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart
  • Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous spa or health club experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, can-do, “Yes” attitude for our guests and team members.
  • Set up morning spa water, tea, and snack offerings.
  • Break down spa water, tea, and snack offerings.
  • Provide spa tour of the relaxation area, spa changing room, lockers, and steam shower.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and efficiently handle all guests’ requests with grace.
  • Assist in any guest booking requests with the Spa Coordinator or Therapist if needed.
  • Stock lockers, towels, and amenities as needed, and remove any trash, dirty linen, or sandals.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of locker rooms, lounge, and spa dispensary and pool.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of clean towels, robes, and guest-wear are available.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized desk space by wiping counters, keeping counters clutter-free, and organizing drawers and cabinets.
  • Assist with organizing linen storage area, folding robes, and restocking towels.
  • Assist therapists in flipping rooms, stocking, cleaning and sanitizing equipment/work areas as needed.
  • Assist in the set-up & breakdown of In-Room services, transportation of therapist &/or spa amenities as needed.
  • Set the example by always following Blackberry policies and modeling positive, friendly interaction, and legendary hospitality with guests.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
  • Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
