About The Position

Réseau Fix is seeking a Principal Procurement Specialist to manage strategic and operational procurement activities. This role involves collaborating with internal partners, franchisees, and suppliers to secure advantageous agreements, ensure efficient processes, and deliver quality service, ultimately maximizing value for the entire network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement
  • Bilingual English 9/10, French 5/10 (the position will collaborate with establishments and teams across Canada)
  • Knowledge of contract law, inventory management, and procurement-related rights and taxes
  • Strong writing skills (reports, contracts, tenders, etc.)
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts and integrated logistics
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills
  • Proficiency in computer tools (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data and produce reports with Power BI
  • Knowledge of WHMIS (SIMDUT)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the organization's procurement activities.
  • Lead strategic procurement projects, independently or with multidisciplinary teams, to ensure optimal supplier selection and performance for Fix Network Canada.
  • Develop strategies for rationalizing suppliers, products, and services to maximize corporate agreements and alliances.
  • Lead the needs identification process with internal teams and franchisees.
  • Develop purchasing policies and procedures, manage the department budget, and ensure the implementation and monitoring of SOPs and KPIs.
  • Identify suppliers of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Evaluate the cost and quality of goods and services.
  • Negotiate and oversee agreements to generate strategic value for the organization.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for substitute equipment, products, or materials.
  • Manage and process claims with suppliers.
  • Contribute to the improvement of procurement processes and operations.
  • Support commodity management, including supplier integration.
  • Analyze inventory needs based on sales trends.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database for order tracking and analysis.
  • Provide information on products, warehousing, and orders to internal departments.
  • Carry out special projects related to procurement and finance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on tenders and contracts.
  • Monitor purchasing activities and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Implement alternative solutions in case of shortages or delays.
  • Plan the reception of new vehicles and the return of old ones with suppliers.
  • Maintain corporate vehicle records for all of Canada.
  • Compile monthly mileage reports for the fleet vehicles.
