Requirements

  • Possess a college diploma or its equivalent with similar experience
  • Possess a college diploma in metallurgy or its equivalent with experience
  • 5 years of experience in welding and cutting (sales or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding experience in an industrial environment
  • Red Seal certification or Certified Welding Inspector
  • Mastery of manual, automated, and robotic welding processes, as well as oxy-fuel heating and cutting
  • Knowledge of welding codes and standards, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and technical drawings and electrical circuits.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and work organization skills. Be able to work effectively with internal and external clients
  • High level of computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Oral and written bilingualism (English and French)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales representative, through our Messer Pro sales process, to identify opportunities with both potential and existing customers.
  • Once opportunities are identified, the Welding and Cutting Specialist will collaborate with QA/QC, engineering, and the customer's end-users to identify proven solutions in our welding lab and, ultimately, on the customer's production line.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of problems related to welding equipment and processes.
  • Provide product information, training, and demonstrations to branch personnel and customers.
  • Provide technical advice to sales representatives for the selection and quoting of capital goods.
  • Support and implement all sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Work safely at all times.
